All guest appearances are subject to work commitments. Guests appear both days of the show unless otherwise noted.  Scroll down to bios for info on media guest prices. In rare instances some guests may have to postpone their appearances due to work commitments, we always try to note if that’s occurred as soon as possible. Please note, Media Guests charge to sign your items or their merchandise, and most charge a fee for photos with them. Most comic book guests do not charge for autographs, but it’s always wise to ask first.

POSTPONED – Tim Bradstreet, Tom Sizemore, Sam de la Rosa and Jeremy Megert are no longer able to attend due to personal or work commitments. We hope to have them at our next event.

Joe Jusko – artist of THE SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN, VAMPIRELLA, TOMB RAIDER, PUNISHER, and more. His most impressive achievement has to be the instantly classic Marvel Masterpieces trading card collection, which to this day are some of the most popular and desired comic book trading cards ever made. He recently painted a whole new Master Masterpiece card set for Upper Deck.

Daniel Way – writer of VENOM, GHOST RIDER, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, WOLVERINE: ORIGINS, ASTONISHING X-MEN and DEADPOOL. Other notable titles include DAKEN: DARK WOLVERINE #1-9, DARK WOLVERINE #75-90, PUNISHER VS. BULLSEYE #1-4, SABRETOOTH (2004 series) #1-4, SUPREME POWER: NIGHTHAWK #1-6, THUNDERBOLTS (2013 series) #1-13, and various issues of WOLVERINE. He created the character of “Daken”, Wolverine’s son.

Todd Nauck – DC work includes 52, LEGION and LEGIONNAIRES, TEEN TITANS, TEEN TITANS GO! and a very healthy run of YOUNG JUSTICE with writer Peter David. Marvel work includes AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (including the now historic Barack Obama issue), THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN & SILK: THE SPIDER(FLY) EFFECT, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN FAMILY, AMERICAN DREAM, DEADPOOL: TOO SOON?, FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN, NIGHTCRAWLER, SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL, SPIDER-MAN: THE CLONE SAGA, and X-CAMPUS, not to mention several variant covers for popular titles. Steve Niles – creator and writer of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT and CRIMINAL MACABRE. Arthur Suydam – The Zombie King! Arthur’s popular covers have graced the covers of DEADPOOL, MARVEL ZOMBIES, DEAD DAYS, BATMAN, WOLVERINE, FANTASTIC FOUR, THE INCREDIBLE HERC, X-MEN, GHOST RIDER, THOR, SPIDER-GIRL, BLACK PANTHER, OZ CHRONICLES and more. He’s also worked on Dynamite’s ARMY OF DARKNESS, SAVAGE TALES, RED SONJA, and fan favorite books like BATMAN VS. PREDATOR, CONAN THE BARBARIAN, TARZAN and HOUSE OF SECRETS. James O’Barr – creator and artist of THE CROW comic book series, which has spawned four movies and a television series, statues and action figures. A new big screen reboot is also on its way.

Renee Witterstaetter – editor and writer of books like SHE-HULK, SUPERMAN, THE X-FILES, XENA, SILVER SURFER and WHAT THE?! She’s also authored several art books about popular creators like Joe Jusko and Michael Golden.

Steve Erwin – artist of DEATHSTROKE: THE TERMINATOR, CHECKMATE, STAR TREK, and Robert Heinlein’s CITIZEN OF THE GALAXY.

Brent Peeples – artist of NEW SUPERMAN and LOVE IS LOVE at DC Comics. His art has also been seen LAST OF THE GREATS for Image Comics, SINBAD for Zenescope, and most recently LEGENDERRY: GREEN HORNET and GOLD KEY: ALLIANCE for Dynamite Entertainment.

Scott Harben – highly respected Dallas photographer who has worked on major advertising campaigns for movies like SPY KIDS and THE PUNISHER, and packaging design work for Lucasfilm on various STAR WARS projects.

Lawrence Reynolds – masterful painter who has done an official IRON MAN lithograph for Marvel, multiple projects for Lucasfilm and Topps, and covers for DC Comics on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and SENSATION COMICS.

Josh Howard – the man behind the DEAD@17 comic books. DEAD@17: THE BLASPHEMY THRONE was released by Image Comics in 2015. His art has also been seen in BLACK HARVEST, CLUBBING, and MONSTER HIGH. Also provided awesome variant covers for GHOSTBUSTERS: CON-VOLUTION.

James Venhaus – writer of NIGHT OWL SOCIETY from IDW. The three-issue run is getting great word of mouth, and all three issues should be out and possibly even in trade paperback form in time for the show, which means you can have James sign them for you at the event.

Andrew Mangum – artist of HATCHET, EVIL ERNIE, PUPPET MASTER, WILDER, and many more.

Ben Dunn – The Godfather of American Manga. Ben created NINJA HIGH SCHOOL and the MARVEL MANGAVERSE, along with books like THE AGENTS and WARRIOR NUN.

Mostafa Moussa – Texas-based professional comic book inker/artist that has worked with Marvel Comics, Image Comics, IDW, Hasbro, and many others over his 15+ year career.

Greg Peters – master animator with 4 Emmys for his work on PINKY & THE BRAIN, and ANIMANIACS as a character designer. He has also worked on RUGRATS, DILBERT, TIMON & PUMBAA, and countless other TV shows and movies over his 30-year career.

Vo Nguyen – worked on numerous indie books, trading and sketch cards for Marvel, DC, THE WALKING DEAD and many others. Currently working on 2 children’s books which will be release early 2018.

Mark Stokes – Harvey-Nominated creator of ZOMBIE BOY, which began as a traditional pamphlet and now lives on as a web comic. He has done animation for PBS, Spike and Mike’s Festival of Animation, and co-created the early CG cartoon series JINGAROO for Beckett Publications.

JE SMITH is the creator/writer/artist of the indie comic series COMPLEX CITY and BULLETPROOF, and creator of the comic-nerd web series STELLA B. AND THE BUSTED LEAGUE.

MEDIA GUEST BIOS:

Kevin Nash – professional wrestler known as “Steel”, “Oz”, “Vinnie Vegas”, “Diesel”, and even “Big Sexy” …among other names. In 1994 he won all three titles comprising the WWF Triple Crown and at that year’s Slammy Awards won the MVP (now Superstar of the Year) and (with Shawn Michaels) Best Tag Team awards. Between WWE, WCW and TNA, Nash has won a total of 21 championships, including being a six-time world champion (five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and one-time WWF Champion) and a 12-time world tag team champion between the three promotions. Although he held the WWF Championship only once, his 358-day reign is the longest of the 1990s. During his time in WCW, Kevin became the first wrestler to defeat Goldberg and in the process ended his undefeated streak of 173–0 at Starrcade in 1998. Kimmy Robertson – Lucy on the original TWIN PEAKS series and David Lynch’s current Showtime revival. Dickey Beer – played Boba Fett, a Biker Scout, a Gamorrean Guard, a Stormtrooper, and Jabba’s skiff guard “Barada” in STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI. A key Thuggee guard in INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM. Iwatobi Swim Club and Free! Monica Richards – an American singer, songwriter, artist and author considered to be an icon of the goth subculture and has been the frontwoman of numerous bands including Madhouse, Strange Boutique, Faith and the Muse and The Eden House as well as being a solo-artist. She began creating Adult Coloring Books in 2015, beginning with “The Goddess” through publisher, ZED Presents. The Goddess book brought out her love of colorful Folk Art, featuring each Goddess in her own cultural style. (Monica will be set up next to Steve Niles)

Matthew Spradlin – director, co-writer and co-creator of BAD KIDS GO TO HELL. Co-writer of HOLLOW HIGHTS, director of THE SOCIAL CONTRACT(Matt will have books and DVDs for sale at his table)

Star Garrison of the 501st Legion – we’re honored to have a large number of The Star Garrison of The 501st Legion joining us. The 501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. The troopers and other costumed favorites will be on hand for some incredible photo opportunities. MCubed Cosplay – DFW based but Houston born and raised cosplayer and model most widely known for her movie-accurate Slave Leia and Rey. Marla has served as a Cosplay Against Bullying guest at Indy Pop Con and as a 501st Diamond Garrison Cosplay Guest at Comi-Conway. (attending Sunday only)

BritishPixie – professional cosplayer, model and prop builder born in Manchester UK, now based in Houston TX. She has been modeling since college and considers herself a a big nerd. A giant Star Wars fan, British Pixie began cosplay around three years ago. Her love of all things sci-fi and fantasy has lead her to cosplay quite a few different genres and fandoms. Sarah Bellum Cosplay – she’s hosting the Cosplay Prom on Saturday night, which is kind of our unofficial/official after party for the show. Heroic Inner Kids – The first Texas formed cosplay IRS certified 501c3 nonprofit, charitable organization. They provide creative educational support to the at-risk and heath challenged future generation of the North Texas area. Heroic Inner Kids works with international, national and local organizations in conjunction with their Educational and Medical Advocacy programs. They provide local community support via Kids Cosplay Contests, ExtraLife team sponsorship, local school support, hospital visits and more. Geek Girl Brunch DFW – a international meetup group of ladies who geek out together (typically with mimosas), and create a safe environment where identifying nerdy girls can express themselves, network, create friendships, inspire each other, and hang out! They meet once a month at themed brunches and other events to share our geeky passions with one another, and work together to give back to the community through donation drives to the Women’s Center of Tarrant County and similar organizations. Recent brunch themes have included Magical Girls, Jurassic Park, and the BBC; brunchettes geeked out about Sailor Moon, dinosaurs, Sherlock, Doctor Who, and more!

Mindy Lucas – talented crafter who also happens to be the lovely wife of comic book artist John Lucas. Mindy will have some of her awesome designs available for sale at the show, and you may just find the most perfect gift you’ve ever seen at her table.
