The following guests are scheduled to appear at Dallas Comic Show’s Fantasy Festival this August 25-26, 2018. The show will be held at the Premier Event Center in Lewisville, TX. All guest appearances are subject to work commitments. Guests appear both days of the show unless otherwise noted.  Scroll down to bios for info on media guest prices – subject to change. In rare instances some guests may have to postpone their appearances due to work commitments, we always try to note if that’s occurred as soon as possible. Please note, Media Guests charge to sign your items or their merchandise, and most charge a fee for photos with them. Most comic book guests do not charge for autographs, but it’s always wise to ask first.

Terry Moore – Eisner Award-winning creator/writer/artist of popular comic titles like RACHEL RISING, MOTOR GIRL and ECHO, and served at the writer of books like Marvel’s SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE and THE RUNAWAYS, DC Comics titles like BIRDS OF PREY, and Dark Horse books like BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: WILLOW AND TARA. His hit comic STRANGERS IN PARADISE celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year!

Tim Bradstreet – well known for his stellar covers on HELLBLAZER and THE PUNISHER, his covers have also been featured on 28 DAYS LATER, ACTION COMICS, ANGEL Omnibus, BEFORE WATCHMEN, CLIVE BARKER’S HELLRAISER, CRIMINAL MACABRE: TWO RED EYES, DEADPOOL, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, FRIDAY THE 13TH, G.I. Ben Templesmith – co-creator and artist of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT (which spawned a major motion picture) and FELL. His other projects include the critically acclaimed serial WORMWOOD: GENTLEMAN CORPSE, as well as WELCOME TO HOXFORD, THE SQUIDDER and SINGULARITY 7, all of which he also wrote. Mr. Templesmith has also worked on GOTHAM BY MIDNIGHT, KANE & LYNCH, STAR WARS, TEN GRAND, DOCTOR WHO, GI JOE, ARMY OF DARKNESS, SILENT HILL and BUFFY: THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, among other great titles.

Georges Jeanty – artist of Dark Horse’s BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER comics, THE GUILD comics, and SERENITY: LEAVES ON THE WIND and SERENITY: NO POWER IN THE ‘VERSE. Known for John Ridley’s THE AMERICAN WAY, BATMAN ARKHAM: JOKER’S DAUGHTER, BATWOMAN, BISHOP: THE LAST X-MAN, DEADPOOL (#54 thru 64 in 2001-2002), FACES OF EVIL: DEATHSTROKE, GAMBIT, GAMBIT & BISHOP, GREEN LANTERN, THE NEW 52: FUTURES END, SUPERBOY, SUPERMAN, TEAM SUPERMAN, TEEN TITANS, WEAPON X, WOLVERINE, WONDER WOMAN and more!

Mark A. Nelson – artist of Dark Horse’s original ALIENS comic book series, his work is also featured in ABE SAPIEN, ALIEN ENCOUNTERS, THE BADGER, BLOOD AND SHADOWS, Clive Barker’s HELLRAISER and NIGHT BREED, DEATH RATTLE, FEAR AGENT, GODZILLA, THE GREEN HORNET, HEAVY METAL, MONSTER MASSACRE, NEXUS, SLASH, SQUARRIORS, and WILD CARDS… to name a few. James O’Barr – creator and artist of THE CROW comic book series, which has spawned four movies and a television series, statues and action figures. A new big screen reboot is also on its way.

Chiara Bautista – her only U.S. convention this year! Her mixed media works are always deep and moving, and she’s become well known for her Bunny Girl and Star Wolf pieces. Some know her as “Milk” or simply “Chiara B”, and her elusive reputation is legendary within the art community. She’ll be set up with THE CROW creator James O’Barr, two incredibly awesome creators side-by-side.

Liz Wrightson – legendary “Master of the Macabre” Bernie Wrightson was a dear friend of the show, and one of his final convention appearances was the first Dallas Comic Show in April of 2016. Last year we said goodbye to Bernie, and his absence is still felt among fans and friends. We’re honored to be joined by his lovely wife Liz Wrightson, who will be appearing at the show with books, artwork and prints in memory of Bernie’s outstanding comic book legacy. Liz also worked directly with IDW and artist Kelley Jones to help complete and release the final issue of FRANKENSTEIN ALIVE, ALIVE!

Sam de la Rosa – numerous Marvel credits include AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, AVENGERS, DREADSTAR, INCREDIBLE HULK, IRON MAN, NEW WARRIORS, SPIDER-MAN, SPIDER-MAN FAMILY, SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED, SPIDER-WOMAN, SQUADRON SUPREME, STAR WARS, THE THING, WEB OF SPIDER-MAN, WHAT IF?, X-MEN and more. Over at DC Comics, he worked on ACTION COMICS, ALL-STAR SQUADRON, BATMAN, CAPTAIN ATOM, FIRESTORM, GREEN LANTERN, OUTSIDERS, SECRET ORIGINS, STAR TREK, WORLD’S FINEST and more. Continues to be well received due to his work on comics like BLACK PANTHER and VENOM: LETHAL PROTECTOR #1, both of which have been turned into major motion pictures this year.

Kerry Gammill – artist of POWER MAN / IRON FIST, MARVEL TEAM-UP, UNCANNY X-MEN and DEADLY FOES OF SPIDER-MAN at Marvel Comics. His DC Comics work includes ACTION COMICS, SUPERMAN, SUPERGIRL, POWER GIRL and TEEN TITANS. Appearing Saturday Only, schedule permitting.

Steve Erwin – artist of DEATHSTROKE: THE TERMINATOR, CHECKMATE, STAR TREK, and Robert Heinlein’s CITIZEN OF THE GALAXY. Appearing Sunday Only.

Anthony Tollin – legendary DC Comics colorist who has worked on classic issues of ACTION COMICS, BATMAN, CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, DETECTIVE COMICS, THE FLASH, GREEN LANTERN, NEW TEEN TITANS, SUPERMAN, and more.

Robert Wilson IV – artist of the ONI Press title HEART THROB, Image Comics’ BITCH PLANET, and IDW’s KNUCKLEHEADS.

Paul Maybury – artist of CAVE CARSON HAS AN INTERSTELLAR EYE for DC Comics, BLOODSTRIKE BRUTALISTS for Image Comics, CATALYST COMICS for Dark Horse Comics, and HUNTERS for Lion Forge. Also known for VALHALLA MAD and AQUA LEUNG.

Scott Harben – highly respected Dallas photographer who has worked on major advertising campaigns for movies like SPY KIDS and THE PUNISHER, and packaging design work for Lucasfilm on various STAR WARS projects.

Kez Wilson – writer/artist/inker of books like ANGEL AND THE APE, THE BADGER, CRIMSON AVENGER, ELEMENTALS, HAMMERLOCKE, THE IMPOSSIBLE MAN SUMMER VACATION SPECTACULAR, POWER OF THE ATOM, ROBOTECH MASTERS, SECRET ORIGINS, STAR TREK, SUICIDE SQUAD, WHAT THE–?! and YOUNG ALL-STARS.

Josh Howard – the man behind the DEAD@17 comic books. DEAD@17: THE BLASPHEMY THRONE was released by Image Comics in 2015. His art has also been seen in BLACK HARVEST, CLUBBING, and MONSTER HIGH. Lawrence Reynolds – masterful painter who has done an official IRON MAN lithograph for Marvel, multiple projects for Lucasfilm and Topps, and covers for DC Comics on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and SENSATION COMICS.

Shonuff Studio (Halo Sama & Terry Parr)- Creators and artists of SHONUFF STUDIO PRESENTS anthology, AEROBICIDE – THE EXTREME NINJA WORKOUT (Ape Entertainment), EL PESO HERO (Rio Bravo Comics), and now MANGAZINE from Antarctic Press.

B Charlotte D Cosplay – an actress, model and professional cosplayer with a passion for video games, anime, movies and all things nerdy. She’s quickly becoming a fan favorite at various Texas events, and even won first place in one of our previous costume contests. Outside of her amazing cosplays, she also does theater acting and modeling, and is constantly in demand for photoshoots. Desert Rose Cosplay – best known for her screen accurate STAR TREK costumes, as well as Marvel characters (Elektra, X-23 and Magik) along with those from the TV series SUPERNATURAL as she frequently travels to cosplay with her screen used SUPERNATURAL impala named “Bela.”

Krystle Starr – cosplayer and costume designer from Dallas featured all over the internet, most well-known for her Captain America body paint and She-Ra Princess of Power. She also creates and teaches a variety of art in all different mediums and has been featured as a guest at several cons, at times judging costume contests.

Katrina Rose Cosplay – known for her Spider-Gwen, Ms. Marvel, and Harley Quinn costumes, she’s relatively new to the world of professional cosplay, but already doing great things.

Michael Byrnes – a fan-favorite for his Superman and Incredibles cosplay, Michael is former military and has even appeared in a few movies including OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN.

Heroic Inner Kids – The first Texas formed cosplay IRS certified 501c3 nonprofit, charitable organization. They provide creative educational support to the at-risk and heath challenged future generation of the North Texas area. Heroic Inner Kids works with international, national and local organizations in conjunction with their Educational and Medical Advocacy programs. They provide local community support via Kids Cosplay Contests, ExtraLife team sponsorship, local school support, hospital visits and more. Star Garrison of the 501st Legion – we’re honored to have a large number of The Star Garrison of The 501st Legion joining us. The 501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans.
