BATMAN, GREEN LANTERN, SUPERMAN, CRISIS colorist Anthony Tollin hits DCS Aug 25-26

He’s provided colors on some of the most memorable books ever released by DC Comics. Seriously, look at the collage below… that’s just a taste of the titles Anthony has worked on, and there’s even more he may not have necessarily done cover colors for, but still handled colors on the interior. We’re honored to have Mr. Tollin join our comic book creator guest list on August 25-26. For a FULL and semi-complete list of his coloring credits in comics, check our THIRTY pages worth of titles by CLICKING HERE.

Anthony Tollin is a noted expert on comics, pulps and old-time radio, and co-authored The Shadow Scrapbook in 1979 with Walter B. Gibson and recently wrote a historical article for the upcoming DETECTIVE COMICS #1000. He was a prominent colorist and assistant production manager for DC Comics where he colored GREEN LANTERN for nearly two decades, was regular colorist on SUPERMAN, CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, THE SHADOW STRIKES, DOC SAVAGE, THE PHANTOM, FLASH GORDON, ZORRO and MICKEY MOUSE, and co-colored BATMAN, DETECTIVE COMICS, NEW TEEN TITANS and Mike Grell’s WARLORD with his late wife, Adrienne Roy.

Tollin has published more than 275 Shadow novels under his Sanctum Books imprint, and has also reprinted all 182 Doc Savage pulp novels, and trade paperback reprints of The Avenger, The Whisperer, Cap Fury, Nick Carter, The Spider and The Black Bat.

During his decade-long association with Radio Spirits, Anthony Tollin wrote more than 70 historical booklets for old-time-radio CD releases, including many collections of pulp and comic book-related radio programs that helped introduce its classic characters to new generations of fans. He also scripted more than a thousand episodes of the nationally syndicated When Radio Was hosted by Stan Freberg, historical scripts narrated by Walter Cronkite, and served as Historical Consultant on the television documentary MARTIAN MANIA: THE TRUE STORY OF THE WAR OF THE WORLDS hosted by James Cameron.
