The voice of “Jem” from JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS and “Ariel” in TRANSFORMERS – Samantha Newark comes to DCS November 21-22, 2026!
Ready for a truly outrageous guest announcement? With a wildly loyal global fan-base for her voice-over work as “Jem” and “Jerrica” in the classic animated series JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS, Samantha Newark is also part of the iconic Hasbro brand TRANSFORMERS with her guest-starring roles as “Ariel”, “Elise Presser” and “The Zamajon Empress” in the animated series. She can also be heard as the gentle British voice of Peter Pan’s mother in Steven Spielberg’s feature film HOOK, as well as her countless on camera, voice-over, TV and radio commercials. You might have seen her in the campy horror flick SUMMER CAMP NIGHTMARE with Chuck Conners as rebel camper Debbie. In the late 2000’s Samantha was invited into the prestigious Leonard Cohen circle as a back-up singer and went on to tour extensively as a backup singer with the longest running Pink Floyd tribute act in the US “Bricks in the Wall”. Based in Nashville TN, Samantha is currently writing for her 5th solo album.
Her original music and vocals can be heard on many block buster game titles such as GOD OF WAR, TWISTED METAL BLACK and WILD ARMS 3, movie soundtracks and hit TV shows such as SMALLVILLE, GOSSIP GIRL, AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, the Kardashian franchise and more. Celebrating Jem’s 40th anniversary, and enjoying a resurgence of brand new Jem and Transformer treasures from Funko, The Loyal Subjects, Loungefly and more, Samantha frequently makes live appearances at pop culture conventions nationwide and enjoys a robust and wildly loyal and devoted following around the world. JEM has brought about a gorgeous collectors Doll line from Hasbro and Integrity Dolls, plus a Jem and the Holograms comic book series. Samantha is poised to continue her enduring legacy as the truly outrageous “Original” Pink Haired Pop Princess.
