All guest appearances are subject to work commitments. Guests appear both days of the show unless otherwise noted.  Scroll down to bios for info on media guest prices. In rare instances some guests may have to postpone their appearances due to work commitments, we always try to note if that’s occurred as soon as possible. Please note, Media Guests charge to sign your items or their merchandise, and most charge a fee for photos with them. Most comic book guests do not charge for autographs, but it’s always wise to ask first.

Adam Hughes – ONLY Texas appearance in 2017, known for his covers on WONDER WOMAN, CATWOMAN, BATGIRL, TOMB RAIDER and FAIREST (with fellow Dallas Comic Show guest Phil Jimenez on interiors). He’s also contributed covers and art for various STAR WARS books, FIREFLY and SERENITY titles, and even PLAYBOY Magazine. His most recent work can be found in BETTY & VERONICA from Archie Comics.

Neal Adams – legendary artist of ACTION COMICS, AVENGERS, BATMAN, DETECTIVE COMICS, GREEN LANTERN, THE SPECTRE, STRANGE ADVENTURES, SUPERMAN and X-MEN. Adams co-created two iconic Batman villains, Man-Bat and Ra’s al Ghul, and also founded Continuity Studios in the 1970s and eventually Continuity Comics in the 1980s. Recent books include BATMAN: ODYSSEY, FIRST X-MEN, SUPERMAN: THE COMING OF THE SUPERMEN, and a really spectacular issue of HARLEY’S LITTLE BLACK BOOK in which Harley Quinn battles Superman.

Phil Jimenez – writer/artist/inker of 52, ADVENTURE COMICS, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, ASTONISHING X-MEN, FAIREST, INFINITE CRISIS, THE INVISIBLES, JLA, NEW TITANS, NEW X-MEN, OTHERWORLD, ROBIN, SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY, SWAMP THING, TEAM TITANS, TEMPEST, TITANS (covers), WONDER WOMAN, X-O MANOWAR (covers) and so many more. His most recent work is in DC UNIVERSE REBIRTH #1 and SUPERWOMAN.

Mark Brooks – artist of STAR WARS: HAN SOLO, AMAZING FANTASY (where he co-created Araña), AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, ANT-MAN (covers), AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE (covers), CABLE / DEADPOOL, CLOAK AND DAGGER, DARTH VADER (covers), DEADPOOL (covers), FEARLESS DEFENDERS (covers), NEW X-MEN, STAR WARS (covers), STAR WARS: KANAN (covers), ULT SPIDER-MAN ANNUALS, ULTIMATE X-MEN, UNCANNY X-FORCE and X-MEN LEGACY (covers).

Kevin Nowlan – artist/inker of Marvel titles like DOCTOR STRANGE, WOLVERINE, SAVAGE WOLVERINE, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, NEW MUTANTS, ALPHA FLIGHT, INCREDIBLE HULK, DEFENDERS. DC work includes ACTION COMICS, DC FIRST, GREEN LANTERN, METAMORPHO, SECRET ORIGINS and PLASTIC MAN (to name a few), plus several books in Dark Horse’s ALIENS line. Nowlan also contributed character designs to BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES.

Howard Chaykin – artist of Marvel’s original STAR WARS comics. He’s also the creator and artist of AMERICAN FLAGG! and has worked on popular titles like BLACKHAWK, THE SHADOW, WOLVERINE, NEW AVENGERS, HAWKGIRL and more. Chaykin was a frequent writer and Executive Script Consultant for THE FLASH 1990 television series starring John Wesley Shipp.

Joe Jusko – artist of THE SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN, VAMPIRELLA, TOMB RAIDER, PUNISHER, and more. His most impressive achievement has to be the instantly classic Marvel Masterpieces trading card collection, which to this day are some of the most popular and desired comic book trading cards ever made. He recently painted a whole new Master Masterpiece card set for Upper Deck. (POSTPONED – due to work commitments Joe Jusko is no longer able to attend)

Brandon Peterson – artist of UNCANNY X-MEN, ULTIMATE VISION, ULTIMATE EXTINCTION, STRANGE, ULTIMATE X-MEN, ASTONISHING X-MEN, MAGNETO REX, and X-MEN. He’s also worked for major independents like Top Cow (CODENAME: STRYKEFORCE and ARCANUM) and Crossgen (MYSTIC and CHIMERA). More recently fans have seen his art on AGE OF ULTRON and UNCANNY INHUMANS.

Cully Hamner – co-creator of RED with writer Warren Ellis. Cully is the artist of THE SHADE, BLUE BEETLE, THE QUESTION, GREEN LANTERN: MOSAIC and BLACK LIGHTNING… to name a few. Hamner, along with Jim Lee, redesigned the DC New 52 line of characters.

Cat Staggs – cover artist for THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERGIRL and SMALLVILLE Season 11. She’s worked on a variety of DC Comics titles including PHANTOM LADY, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, SENSATION COMICS FEATURING WONDER WOMAN, WONDER WOMAN ’77 SPECIAL. Cat is currently working on the Image Comics series CROSSWIND with writer Gail Simone.

James O’Barr – creator and artist of THE CROW comic book series, which has spawned four movies and a television series, statues and action figures. A new big screen reboot is also on its way.

Jeffrey Moy – well known for his work on various LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES titles for DC Comics. Impressive run on LEGIONNAIRES #19 all the way through 78, plus #0 and Annual 2! His work can also be found in LEGION: SECRET FILES, STAR TREK: VOYAGER – ELITE FORCE, STAR TREK: VOYAGER – FALSE COLORS, and STAR TREK / LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES.

Philip Moy – artist for 70 issues of THE POWERPUFF GIRLS comic book series. Kerry Gammill – legendary artist of POWER MAN/IRON FIST, MARVEL TEAM-UP, ACTION COMICS, SUPERMAN and more. Kerry has also been publishing Bela Lugosi’s TALES FROM THE GRAVE.

Steve Erwin – dynamic artist of DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR, CHECKMATE, STAR TREK and the BATMAN RETURNS movie adaptation for DC Comics. Most recently illustrated the first Robert Heinlein comic book CITIZEN OF THE GALAXY.

Kez Wilson – artist/inker/writer of titles like SCARLETT, POWER OF THE ATOM, HAMMERLOCKE, WHAT THE?! and more.

Allison Sohn – trading card artist for THE LORD OF THE RINGS and STAR WARS, plus various Topps properties. She’s provided covers for LADY DEMON, RED SONJA, JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS and BETTY & VERONICA.

Mostafa Moussa – Texas based professional comic book inker/artist that has worked with Marvel Comics, Image Comics, IDW, Hasbro, and many others over his 15+ year career.

Cal Slayton – artist of SHADES OF BLUE and DEAD@17: ROUGH CUT. Sketch card artist of Marvel, DC, STAR WARS and THE WALKING DEAD.

Joel Adams – eldest son of Neal Adams, Joel began his art career at Continuity Studios on titles like MS MYSTIC and BUCKY O’HARE. Worked for Marvel Animation doing character design for THE HULK: ANIMATED SERIES in 1996. From there he went to FOX/Film Roman to Design the Emmy Award-winning Mike Judge series KING OF THE HILL, then to FOX Family to design NASCAR RACERS. Joel’s art has appeared on products for CAPTAIN SCARLET, THE MASK (animation), MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS, HARRY POTTER: THE GOBLET OF FIRE and more.

Ben Dunn – creator of NINJA HIGH SCHOOL and the MARVEL MANGAVERSE, along with THE AGENTS and WARRIOR NUN AREALA. The Godfather of American Manga.

Brent Peeples – artist of LAST OF THE GREATS for Image Comics, SINBAD for Zenescope, and most recently LEGENDERRY: GREEN HORNET and GOLD KEY: ALLIANCE for Dynamite Entertainment. Now working for DC Comics, he contributed a Batman story in the New York Times best-selling book LOVE IS LOVE, and has other DC projects that should be announced soon. Brent is also a cover artist for Valiant comics, and has worked for many other companies such as Aftershock, IDW, Archie and Boom.

Alexander Iccarino – Austin-based illustrator and print maker. Specializing in artwork which brings alternative screenprinting and the old school film poster genre together in a celebration of pop culture and traditional arts. Alexander creates artwork for covers, editorials and packaging for clients like Playstation and Marvel. Some of his incredible prints feature ANT-MAN, THE AVENGERS, COWBOY BEBOP, GHOST IN THE SHELL, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, THE LAST OF US, SHAUN OF THE DEAD, TRI-GUN, THE WALKING DEAD and more. Mathew Reynolds – after cutting his teeth way back in the early days of Malibu on books like AIRMAN and THE PROTECTORS, Mathew Reynolds eventually went on to work on a particularly cool book from Image Comics called THE MERCENARY SEA. His unique style which makes brilliant use of silhouettes has earned the praise of some of the industry’s top talent. Mathew is now working a new creator-owned project called VIC FALCON with G.I. JOE writer Larry Hama, which we’ve seen some of… and it’s looking really incredible.

Matthew Warlick – prolific illustrator and designer who has had published pin-ups in THE ASTOUNDING WOLF-MAN and THE LEGEND OF LUTHER STRODE. Topps sketchcard artist for STAR WARS.

Nick Stahl – known for memorable roles in THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE, THE THIN RED LINE, DISTURBING BEHAVIOR, BULLY, Frank Miller’s SIN CITY (playing That Yellow Bastard), and TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES (as John Connor). Nick was also the star of HBO’s fan-favorite series CARNIVALE. (Autograph $40, professional photo op $40) – please note, Nick is leaving after his 4:45pm photo op on Saturday, but will be back on Sunday for most of the day.

John Wesley Shipp – Henry Allen and the “real” Jay Garrick on CW’s hit series THE FLASH. John originally rose to fame in the Soap Opera world playing “Kelly Nelson” on GUIDING LIGHT, then “Doug Cummings” on AS THE WORLD TURNS as well as “Martin Ellis” on SANTA BARBARA. In 1990 he starred in THE NEVERENDING STORY II: THE NEXT CHAPTER and THE FLASH television series based on the popular DC Comics character. One of his most famous TV roles was that of “Mitch Leery” on DAWSON’S CREEK. (Autograph $40, professional photo op $30)

Gil Gerard – star of BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY. Gil also starred in films like AIRPORT ’77 and HOOCH, and this year’s THE NICE GUYS alongside Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. He appeared in TV shows like SIDEKICKS, and provided the voice of Megatronus in TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE. Helen Slater – starred as Kara Zor-El in 1984’s SUPERGIRL movie, played Clark Kent’s Kryptonian mother Lara-El in SMALLVILLE, and Kara Danver’s Earth mother Eliza Danvers in the new SUPERGIRL series on The CW. Voiced Talia al Ghul in BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, and Martha Kent in DC SUPER HERO GIRLS. Kathy Najimy – star of SISTER ACT 1 & 2, HOCUS POCUS, RAT RACE and the Oscar-winning Disney/Pixar film WALL-E. She’s also appeared in movies like THE WEDDING PLANNER, STEP UP 3D, HOPE FLOATS, THE FISHER KING and many more. For 13 seasons she voiced Peggy Hill on KING OF THE HILL, starred in 3 seasons of VERONICA’S CLOSET, and was on the CBS drama NUMB3RS for a year. (Autograph $30, professional photo op $40)

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan – The King of the WWF! The first Royal Rumble winner! James Edward “Jim” Duggan Jr., better known by his ring name “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, is professional wrestling royalty. He’s battled everyone from André the Giant to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Jim’s best-known character is that of American Patriot, which sees him use a 2×4 length of wood as a weapon, the battle cry “Hooo!” and the “U-S-A!” cheer. On April 2, 2011, Duggan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Jim offers autographed 8×10’s, 2 x 4’s (actually 1-foot long), action figures, his book, and t-shirts. Reggie Rolle and Amy Rolle – Reggie played Damon Henderson aka The Green Ranger in POWER RANGERS LOST GALAXY, again in an episode of POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE and “The Legendary Battle” episode of POWER RANGERS MEGAFORCE, released on video as POWER RANGERS SUPER MEGAFORCE: THE LEGENDARY BATTLE. Amy (credited then as Amy Miller) starred in POWER RANGERS LOST GALAXY as “Trakeena”, appearing in 34 episodes. They’re hosting a post-show VIP Meet & Greet party on Sunday (details at the link). Alexis Cruz – played “Skaara” in STARGATE (1995), a role he successfully reprised in the hit series STARGATE SG-1. Jennifer Van Damsel – Houston-based cosplayer who frequently streams on Twitch, and has put together awesome variation on Velma (from Scooby-Doo), Chucky and Spider-Gwen.

MCubed Cosplay – DFW based but Houston born and raised cosplayer and model most widely known for her movie-accurate Slave Leia and Rey. Marla has served as a Cosplay Against Bullying guest at Indy Pop Con and as a 501st Diamond Garrison Cosplay Guest at Comi-Conway.

Clever Fangirl – passionate cosplayer who runs CleverFanGirl.com born out of her passion for fan conventions and the journalist wiggling around inside. There she posts updates and reviews on the latest fan cons happening in Dallas, and frequently hosts fun giveaways.

Krystle Starr – cosplayer and costume designer from Dallas featured all over the internet, most well-known for her Captain America body paint and She-Ra Princess of Power. She also creates and teaches a variety of art in all different mediums and has been featured as a guest at several cons, at times judging costume contests.

Mika Nicole – professional actress, stunt woman, martial artist, model, and lover of all things geek from Austin, Texas. Growing up a huge comic book and video game nerd she began her career in 2006 as a cosplay model. In 2010 she started her acting and stunt careers and now travels the country as a special guest for comic book conventions where she performs live stunt fights and shares her passion for nerd culture. Mika is also the creator, lead actress, executive producer, and fight coordinator for Purple Bat Productions and Robin: The Web Series!

Star Garrison of the 501st Legion – we’re honored to have a large number of The Star Garrison of The 501st Legion joining us. The 501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. The troopers and other costumed favorites will be on hand for some incredible photo opportunities.
