Dallas Comic Show presents BIGFANBOY COMIC CON – a special one-day celebration of Bigfanboy.com’s 20th Anniversary – Saturday, September 13th, 2025

After the April DALLAS COMIC SHOW event, we had planned to take a bit of a break until our November event, and that show is still very much happening. But we also realized the 20th Anniversary of Bigfanboy.com had hit, and since Bigfanboy is such an integral part of what we do (providing prizing for the costume contests, giving away awesome promo items to fans, etc.), we didn’t want to just let that legacy go unnoticed. For those unfamiliar, Bigfanboy.com is the longest-running movie news and review website in Dallas, and frequently hosts special events for movie screenings and swag giveaways. So the idea of a “Bigfanboy Comic Con” actually makes a lot of sense. On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, we’d love for all the Dallas Comic Show fans to join us for the first ever BIGFANBOY COMIC CON – a one-day event featuring special guests, comic book creators, a curated vendor hall loaded with amazing collectibles, free promo items for all attendees, and more. It’s basically like one of our regular shows, except all in one day and honoring the website… there may be cake! Stay tuned for exciting announcements, this is going to be a great way to fill the geek void until November gets here. You won’t want to miss it!

Dallas Comic Show

Founded in 2016, the Dallas Comic Show is a way for fans of comics, movies, television and other pop culture cravings to connect and reconnect with creators, actors and other fans!

#DallasComicShow is a family-friendly event in the DFW area featuring exciting comic book and media guests, costumed characters, gaming and Anime content. Our mission is to bring back an affordable pop culture convention experience to the DFW area, something everyone can enjoy and embrace without breaking the bank. This is show run by fans and done for fans. We are here to make sure you have fun.

TIMELINE:

Our inaugural shows were held at the Richardson Convention Center - in the Spring of 2016 (April 23-24) and in late Summer 2016 (August 6-7). Our third event was at the Irving Convention Center on February 11-12, 2017, and our fourth back at the Richardson Civic Center on September 16-17, 2017.

In 2018 we had two fun events happening, August 25-26, and November 17-18.

In 2019, we had three shows - the first April 6-7 in Richardson, then August 10-11 in Lewisville, TX, and finally November 23-24 in Richardson.

In 2020, due to Coronavirus concerns, we decided to go on hiatus and not attempt public gatherings, which was probably for the best.

In 2021, the Dallas Comic Show returned with THREE events - the first being a single-day show on June 26, the second a two-day show August 21-22, and the third being November 6-7, and all three events will be held at the Music City Mall in Lewisville, TX. And a surprise addition, we hosted a special "Day of Cheer" on December 18, 2021 - a FREE admission event with several vendors and special guests... just in time for Christmas shopping!

In 2022, we started with February 19-20, followed by April 23-24, and then August 12-14, November 11-12, and finally December 17-18... our "Weekend of Cheer"

In 2023, we did a show April 29-30, August 26-27, November 18-19, and December 16-17

In 2024 we had shows April 20-21, August 24-25, November 23-24, and a one-day show on December 21st.

In 2025 we hosted a Spring Spectacular on April 23-24, and we'll be doing BIGFANBOY COMIC CON on September 13th, and our Holiday Special on November 22-23 - we hope to see you there!
