TALES FROM THE PUSCIVERSE, UNPREPPED, G.I. JOE and LARP! comic book artist and FANTASY ISLAND storyboard artist Marlin Shoop hits DCS April 25-26, 2026!

February 24, 2026 Dallas Comic Show

He’s done storyboards and concept designs on the Cynthia Rothrock movie BLACK CREEK, and recently did storyboards for the Blumhouse horror take on FANTASY ISLAND. But Marlin Shoop’s passion is in comic books, and you can see his work on many including Dark Horse Comics’ LARP!, Antarctic Press’ UNPREPPED, Devils Due’s G.I. JOE, Zenescope’s MYTHS AND LEGENDS, Moonstone’s CAPTAIN ACTION and more. He’s also worked closely with Archie Comics, as well as WizKids (Marvel and DC), and just provided art for TALES FROM THE PUSCIVERSE written by TOOL and Puscifer’s Maynard James Keenan. Dallas Comic Show

Founded in 2016, the Dallas Comic Show is a way for fans of comics, movies, television and other pop culture cravings to connect and reconnect with creators, actors and other fans!

#DallasComicShow is a family-friendly event in the DFW area featuring exciting comic book and media guests, costumed characters, gaming and Anime content. Our mission is to bring back an affordable pop culture convention experience to the DFW area, something everyone can enjoy and embrace without breaking the bank. This is show run by fans and done for fans. We are here to make sure you have fun.

TIMELINE:

Our inaugural shows were held at the Richardson Convention Center - in the Spring of 2016 (April 23-24) and in late Summer 2016 (August 6-7). Our third event was at the Irving Convention Center on February 11-12, 2017, and our fourth back at the Richardson Civic Center on September 16-17, 2017.

In 2018 we had two fun events happening, August 25-26, and November 17-18.

In 2019, we had three shows - the first April 6-7 in Richardson, then August 10-11 in Lewisville, TX, and finally November 23-24 in Richardson.

In 2020, due to Coronavirus concerns, we decided to go on hiatus and not attempt public gatherings, which was probably for the best.

In 2021, the Dallas Comic Show returned with THREE events - the first being a single-day show on June 26, the second a two-day show August 21-22, and the third being November 6-7, and all three events will be held at the Music City Mall in Lewisville, TX. And a surprise addition, we hosted a special "Day of Cheer" on December 18, 2021 - a FREE admission event with several vendors and special guests... just in time for Christmas shopping!

In 2022, we started with February 19-20, followed by April 23-24, and then August 12-14, November 11-12, and finally December 17-18... our "Weekend of Cheer"

In 2023, we did a show April 29-30, August 26-27, November 18-19, and December 16-17

In 2024 we had shows April 20-21, August 24-25, November 23-24, and a one-day show on December 21st.

In 2025 we hosted a Spring Spectacular on April 23-24, our first ever BIGFANBOY COMIC CON on September 13th, and our Holiday Special on November 22-23. In 2026, we're celebrating our 10th Anniversary! Our first show will be our Spring Spectacular on April 25-26, and then our Holiday Special on November 21-22 - we hope to see you there!
