MARVEL ZOMBIES artist Arthur Suydam (The Zombie King!) hits DCS Sept 16-17!

He’s the man who made MARVEL ZOMBIES so popular, and he’s coming to Dallas Comic Show this September 16-17… help us welcome cover artist extraordinaire Arthur Suydam to the lineup! Arthur’s work has been featured in magazines like HEAVY METAL, EPIC ILLUSTRATED and NATIONAL LAMPOON, and popular comic books like BATMAN, CONAN, TARZAN, PREDATOR, ALIENS, DEATH DEALER and (of course) MARVEL ZOMBIES. He even helped expand the Marvel universe with the release of MARVEL ZOMBIES VS. ARMY OF DARKNESS. His creator-owned titles include MUDWOGS and THE ADVENTURES OF CHOLLY AND FLYTRAP. Fans have seen his covers on books like BLACK PANTHER, DEADPOOL: MERC WITH A MOUTH, GHOST RIDER, MOON KNIGHT, and WOLVERINE. He’s even handled cover artwork to albums for The Misfits, including their 2009 single “Land of the Dead” and 2011 album The Devil’s Rain. Arthur is joined by former Marvel editor and accomplished writer Renee Witterstaetter (SHE-HULK, SILVER SURFER), so look for them both in the front lobby.

SPECIAL NEWS FOR KIDS – on Sunday (September 17th), Arthur Suydam will be doing FREE zombie sketches for kids! Bring the whole family to the show, and get your kids a keepsake they’ll treasure forever, from “The Zombie King” himself!!

Renee Witterstaetter was a longtime Marvel editor and writer of books like SHE-HULK, SUPERMAN, THE X-FILES, XENA, SILVER SURFER and WHAT THE?! She’s also authored several art books about popular creators like Joe Jusko and Michael Golden, and worked with Jackie Chan to bring SPARTAN X to comic books.

Dallas Comic Show

Founded in 2016, the Dallas Comic Show is a way for fans of comics, movies, television and other pop culture cravings to connect and reconnect with creators, actors and other fans!

#DallasComicShow is a family-friendly event in the DFW area featuring exciting comic book and media guests, costumed characters, gaming and Anime content.

Our mission is to bring back an affordable pop culture convention experience to the DFW area, something everyone can enjoy and embrace without breaking the bank. This is show run by fans and done for fans. We are here to make sure you have fun.

Our inaugural shows were held at the Richardson Convention Center - in the Spring of 2016 (April 23-24) and in late Summer 2016 (August 6-7). Our third event was at the Irving Convention Center on February 11-12, 2017, and our fourth back at the Richardson Civic Center on September 16-17, 2017.

In 2018 we had two fun events happening, August 25-26, and November 17-18.

In 2019, we had three shows - the first April 6-7 in Richardson, then August 10-11 in Lewisville, TX, and finally November 23-24 in Richardson.

In 2020, due to Coronavirus concerns, we decided to go on hiatus and not attempt public gatherings, which was probably for the best.

In 2021, the Dallas Comic Show returned with THREE events - the first being a single-day show on June 26, the second a two-day show August 21-22, and the third being November 6-7, and all three events will be held at the Music City Mall in Lewisville, TX. And a surprise addition, we hosted a special "Day of Cheer" on December 18, 2021 - a FREE admission event with several vendors and special guests... just in time for Christmas shopping!

In 2022, we started with February 19-20, followed by April 23-24, and then August 12-14, November 11-12, and finally December 17-18... our "Weekend of Cheer"

In 2023, we did a show April 29-30, August 26-27, November 18-19, 2023 and December 16-17, 2023

Our first show of 2024 will be our Spring Spectacular - April 20-21, 2024 - we hope to see you there!
