DEADPOOL artist and UNCANNY X-FORCE inker John Lucas hits DCS Sept 16-17

Help us welcome Joltin’ Johnny Lucas (aka John Lucas) to the guest list for Dallas Comic Show this September 16-17… John was originally going to be at our February 11-12 show but had to postpone due to an emergency, so we’re thrilled to add him to the September list! John has provided pencils and/or inks on books like AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #39, BATMAN: STREETS OF GOTHAM, CIVIL WAR: CHRONICLES, CIVIL WAR: FRONTLINE, CODENAME: KNOCKOUT, CONAN: ROAD OF KINGS, DEADPOOL, DETECTIVE COMICS, DISAVOWED, THE EXTERMINATORS, FEAR AGENT, FOREVER MAELSTROM (working with fellow DCS guest Howard Chaykin), GENERATION M, THE MIGHTY CRUSADERS, SPIDER-ISLAND: DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG-FU, ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN, UNCANNY X-FORCE and more. He’s also just a cool dude, and former Texan. Help us welcome him back to our neck of the woods this September!

Dallas Comic Show

Founded in 2016, the Dallas Comic Show is a way for fans of comics, movies, television and other pop culture cravings to connect and reconnect with creators, actors and other fans!

#DallasComicShow is a family-friendly event in the DFW area featuring exciting comic book and media guests, costumed characters, gaming and Anime content.

Our mission is to bring back an affordable pop culture convention experience to the DFW area, something everyone can enjoy and embrace without breaking the bank. This is show run by fans and done for fans. We are here to make sure you have fun.

Our inaugural shows were held at the Richardson Convention Center - in the Spring of 2016 (April 23-24) and in late Summer 2016 (August 6-7). Our third event was at the Irving Convention Center on February 11-12, 2017, and our fourth back at the Richardson Civic Center on September 16-17, 2017.

In 2018 we had two fun events happening, August 25-26, and November 17-18.

In 2019, we had three shows - the first April 6-7 in Richardson, then August 10-11 in Lewisville, TX, and finally November 23-24 in Richardson.

In 2020, due to Coronavirus concerns, we decided to go on hiatus and not attempt public gatherings, which was probably for the best.

In 2021, the Dallas Comic Show returned with THREE events - the first being a single-day show on June 26, the second a two-day show August 21-22, and the third being November 6-7, and all three events will be held at the Music City Mall in Lewisville, TX. And a surprise addition, we hosted a special "Day of Cheer" on December 18, 2021 - a FREE admission event with several vendors and special guests... just in time for Christmas shopping!

In 2022, we started with February 19-20, followed by April 23-24, and then August 12-14, November 11-12, and finally December 17-18... our "Weekend of Cheer"

In 2023, we did a show April 29-30, August 26-27, November 18-19, 2023 and December 16-17, 2023

Our first show of 2024 will be our Spring Spectacular - April 20-21, 2024 - we hope to see you there!
