The voice of Jem from JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS Samantha Newark comes to DCS

Ready for a truly outrageous guest announcement? Known to millions of children of the 80’s for her iconic voice work as Jem and Jerrica in the wildly popular and beloved animated series JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS, Samantha Newark is also part of the iconic Hasbro brand TRANSFORMERS with her guest-starring roles as “Ariel”, “Elise Presser” and “The Zamajon Empress” in the animated series. She can also be heard as the gentle British voice of Peter Pan’s mother in Steven Spielberg’s feature film HOOK, as well as her countless on camera, voice-over, TV and radio commercials. You might have seen her in the campy horror flick SUMMER CAMP NIGHTMARE with Chuck Conners as rebel camper Debbie. Calling Nashville TN her home, Samantha is writing and recording her third solo Pop/electronica/dance album. Her original music and vocals have been featured on many blockbuster game titles, movie soundtracks and hit TV shows such as SMALLVILLE, GOSSIP GIRL, THE ELLEN SHOW and more. In the late 2000’s Samantha was invited into the prestigious Leonard Cohen circle as a back-up singer and has toured extensively to sold out crowds at House of Blues venues with the stadium worthy “Bricks in the Wall” live show, belting out the Sights and Sounds of Pink Floyd. With a wildly loyal global fandom for JEM that has brought about a gorgeous new collectors Doll line from Hasbro and Integrity Dolls, there’s also a hot new Jem and the Holograms comic book series by IDW publishing. Samantha is poised to continue her enduring legacy as the truly outrageous “Original” Pink Haired Pop Princess.
