The following guests are scheduled to appear at Dallas Comic Show’s Fantasy Festival this August 10-11, 2019. The show will be held at the Premier Event Center in Lewisville, TX. All guest appearances are subject to work commitments. Guests appear both days of the show unless otherwise noted. Scroll down to bios for info on media guest prices – subject to change. In rare instances some guests may have to postpone their appearances due to work commitments, we always try to note if that’s occurred as soon as possible. Please note, Media Guests charge to sign your items or their merchandise, and most charge a fee for photos with them. Most comic book guests do not charge for autographs, but it’s always wise to ask first.
Ken Lashley – artist for Marvel’s AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN, WAR OF THE REALMS: SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN GOLD, ALL-NEW X-MEN, EXTRAORDINARY X-MEN, UNCANNY X-MEN, AXIS: REVOLUTIONS and more. Artist for DC’s CYBORG, EARTH 2, FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE, SECRET SIX, SUICIDE SQUAD, SUPERMAN, SUPERMAN: DOOMED and more. Also working on BLOODSHOT: RISING SPIRIT for Valiant Entertainment.
Rick Leonardi – artist of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, BATGIRL, BATMAN BEYOND, CLOAK AND DAGGER, DAREDEVIL, GREEN LANTERN VERSUS ALIENS, NEW MUTANTS, NIGHTWING, SPIDER-MAN 2099, SUPERMAN, THOR, UNCANNY X-MEN, and VISION AND THE SCARLET WITCH. He is credited (along with Mike Zeck) as one of the key designers for the black costume which Spider-Man wore in the 1984 SECRET WARS mini-series. Look for SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN: SELF-IMPROVEMENT #1 on comic store shelves August 7th.
Leah Williams – writer for Marvel Comics titles like AGE OF X-MEN: X-TREMISTS, DOMINO ANNUAL #1, MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS, SECRET EMPIRE: BRAVE NEW WORLD #5, TOTALLY AWESOME HULK, WAR OF THE REALMS: GIANT MAN, X-MEN GOLD ANNUAL #1, and X-MEN BLACK: EMMA FROST #1. Other notable works include Dynamite’s BETTIE PAGE HALLOWEEN SPECIAL #1, BARBARELLA/DEJAH THORIS, and VAMPIRELLA VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL. Sam Lotfi – his new Dark Horse Comics book LAST STOP ON THE RED LINE is selling out everywhere. Sam’s comic and cover artwork is published in DC’s CYBORG #21 and #22 and in the DC NEW TALENT SHOWCASE where he worked on Doctor Fate with writer David Accampo and also on Harley Quinn with writer Joelle Jones. He has also worked on Secret Squirrel in SCOOBY APOCALYPSE; Marvel/Icon’s PAINKILLER JANE: PRICE OF FREEDOM; IDW’s TMNT, MICRONAUTS and HASBRO HEROES (Cover art); Dynamite’s ASH VS THE ARMY OF DARKNESS, and more.
Brent Peeples – has been working in comics since 2010 on titles like LAST OF THE GREATS for Image Comics, SINBAD for Zenescope, and LEGENDERRY: GREEN HORNET and GOLD KEY: ALLIANCE for Dynamite Entertainment. He’s done work for DC Comics, starting with the New York Times best-selling book LOVE IS LOVE, and eventually NEW SUPER-MAN and TITANS. Brent is also a cover artist for Valiant comics, and has worked for many other companies such as Aftershock, IDW, Archie and Boom. Currently working with Rob Liefeld on Marvel’s hot book MAJOR X.
Ben Dunn – called “The Godfather of American Manga”, Ben introduced the world to NINJA HIGH SCHOOL in 1987, also launching his comic book imprint Antarctic Press. In the years that followed, Ben created such titles as THE AGENTS, MANGAZINE, HEAVEN SENT and the very popular WARRIOR NUN AREALA, which is soon to be seen as a series on Netflix. Paul Maybury – Award-winning artist and writer best known for his original graphic novel AQUA LEUNG and his work on DOGS OF MARS, but he also contributed work in Marvel’s STRANGE TALES and Eisner-Award winning comics such as POPGUN and COMIC BOOK TATTOO. Worked on SOVEREIGN with Chris Roberson and VALHALLA MAD with Joe Casey for Image Comics, CATALYST COMIX with Joe Casey for Dark Horse Comics, SPERA, and ACES WEEKLY with David Lloyd. Recent efforts include CAVE CARSON HAS AN INTERSTELLAR EYE and BLOODSTRIKE BRUTALISTS, and the Lion Forge title HUNTERS. Writing the smoking hot Dark Horse Comics book LAST STOP ON THE RED LINE. Matthew Spradlin – writer of THE DEVILS, HEROES AT LARGE, GET GOMEZ, and THE NINE LIVES OF HERBERT NOBLE. Matt also co-created and directed the major movie adaptation of BAD KIDS GO TO HELL.
Steve Erwin – artist of DEATHSTROKE: THE TERMINATOR, CHECKMATE, STAR TREK, and Robert Heinlein’s CITIZEN OF THE GALAXY.
Josh Howard – the man behind the DEAD@17 comic books. DEAD@17: THE BLASPHEMY THRONE was released by Image Comics in 2015. His art has also been seen in BLACK HARVEST, CLUBBING, and MONSTER HIGH. Also provided awesome variant covers for GHOSTBUSTERS: CON-VOLUTION. His newest book is T-BIRD & THROTTLE.

But most fans know her as Jennifer Parker (Marty McFly’s girlfriend) in the beloved Sci-Fi classic BACK TO THE FUTURE. Felissa Rose – the star of the cult classic horror movie SLEEPAWAY CAMP, in which she played “Angela”, one of the greatest horror icons of all time. She’s also appeared in films like PSYCHO SLEEPOVER, CAESAR AND OTTO’S SUMMER CAMP MASSACRE, THE PERFECT HOUSE, CAMP DREAD, BLOOD RESERVOIR, and VICTOR CROWLEY. J.J. Cohen – started his acting career with movies like SECRET ADMIRER and PARADISE MOTEL, and TV shows like V and AMAZING STORIES (including the Steven Spielberg-directed pilot). But his role as one of Biff’s gang in the beloved Sci-Fi classic BACK TO THE FUTURE led to him appearing in all three films of the trilogy. Lezlie Deane – started her acting carrer on popular shows like T.J. HOOKER, HUNTER, NIGHT COURT and 21 JUMP STREET. In 1988, she starred alongside fellow DCS guest J.J. Cohen in Robert Englund’s directorial debut 976-EVIL. A year later she appeared on an episode of FREDDY’S NIGHTMARES, and then in 1991 starred alongside Englund in FREDDY’S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE and was featured in the phenomenal documentary NEVER SLEEP AGAIN: THE ELM STREET LEGACY. Jack Sholder – started his career as the writer and director of the 1982 horror movie ALONE IN THE DARK, and followed that up with directing A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY’S REVENGE. In the years since then, he directed movies like the Sci-Fi horror classic THE HIDDEN, the Keifer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips film RENEGADES, WISHMASTER 2 (which he also wrote), and the GENERATION X TV movie based on the Marvel Comics.
